Well...this is it. It's 12:41 am, the night before I leave for Boston. I can't sleep. I leave in 4 hours and fifteen minutes- we're driving down.
I cannot believe what is about to take place. I am completely blown away!! And as sad as I am that I have to leave the people and surroundings that I love so much, I am looking forward to tackling on a new adventure. Even still, I am starting to realize that I won't see the most important people in my life, for at least a month. And that sooner or later, while everyone will miss me, they're going to move on without me, and when I do come home, things just won't be the same. It'll be hard. It'll be tough. But I think that it'll also be the best experience of my life, and I am so happy that I am embarking on this journey.

Thank you so much to everyone who supported me, and even everyone who didn't. You all, in your own little way, helped me accomplish one of the greatest goals of my life.

To my wonderful family, I love you so so much, and will miss you to death. Thank you for everything. I hope I make you proud.

Well...I'm outta here!!!

Last night, I went to a live Kickboxing event at the Docks with Jenn, Mike and my brother Joseph. It was held by the club I train at, Twin Dragon. It was great!
The main event was a 10-round fight for the Women's World Flyweight Title, between Twin Dragon's Chantal Nadon, and Mary Hart, who was from England.
Chantal is awesome she is so nice and sweet. You'd never expect her to be a lethal fighter!! Last summer, I sparred her...She kicked the crap outta me! She's small, but she's quick and STRONG. You don't want to mess with her!!
Anywho, Mary Hart was a DIRTY fighter. She kept putting Chantal in headlocks and pushing her head down and even kicked below the belt a number of times. I did not like her one bit. She was also a little cocky and kept smiling which ticked me off. It seemed as though whenever Chantal would attack with some combinations, Mary would grab her or put her in a headlock to slow her down. That pissed me off.
She also dropped her guard whenever she kicked.
Needless to say, Chantal won the fight by a unanimous decision. Way to Go, Girlfriend! It's cool knowing the women's world kickboxing champion. :)
THe only thing I didn't like about the event was the ring girls. They had these ugly girls in tasteless clothes holding signs with the round number on it and first of all they were ugly, and second of all, they were SKANKS. It was all in all, very UNCLASSY.
But other than that the event was awesome. If you haven't seen live kickboxing, you should. It's way better than boxing! And if you haven't tried it, you should!! Its the best workout ever!!
For more information, go to www.twin-dragon.com

I enclosed a picture of Chantal kicking the arse of a girl from Spain to give you an idea of who I'm talking about over here!!

Thats it for now!1
Ciao ciao

Allo!!
Welcome to another boring episode of my inconsequential, mind-numbing updates. I'm sure you'd rather do a million other things than read my crummy updates, but guess what: YOU'RE NOT. SO to quote the irreverant Breslin.."Muahaha!!"

Well it has come to my attention that some of my updates and comments in other people's updates are offensive. You see, that is how I show my LOVE...I don't really mean to be mean...so don't worry. I'm not being a jerk to people or trying to insult them...I'm just joking around because I like them so much. So once again, I am SORRY! :)

On to more cheerfuly things...I love Matthew Good Band. I work at Canada's Wonderland, and got to see them live when they performed there this year, and let me tell you...they are absolutely AMAZING. Those guys are just so good. To hear Hello Time Bomb and Apparations, and Strange Days and Rico and Running For Home live is absolutely amazing and made me love them even more than I already did. Treble Charger and Sloan also performed that night and it was the same with them. They're just so awesome!! And hearing thier songs live is just so so good!!! For your pleasure, here is a picture of Matt Good. I hear he's an....well you know the rest!!!

Wow. Precisely 2 weeks today, at this time, I'll be in Boston...this is too crazy!! I know I keep saying that, but its because its true!! I cannot believe what is happening!! Its nuts! I don't think I'll ever get over it.

Well...Thats it for today! Thanks for tuning in!

I am staying in a dorm called Pennypacker Hall.
Quite an amusing name, eh?
It is named after a man named Henry Pennypacker, who was a former president of the 'admissions committe'. It was built in 1956, and is the most recent dormitory. It was originally used as a temporary housing, but is now permanent space for first-year students.
I had a picture, but it was too big. Darn. :(

Anywho...I have 3 roommates, all of whom are American. One is from Vermont, one from Massachusetts, and one from Montanta.

My dorm has 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, and a common room.

This is quite exciting information, is it not? ;)

Wow. I cannot believe how close I am to moving!! 16 days. Thats a little more than 2 weeks!! How nuts is that? To be completely honest, it has not hit me yet. It has not registered in my brain that in two weeks and two days, I will be at Harvard College, as a STUDENT in the Class of 2005. How this is happeneing to me, I have no clue. This is too crazy.

Well this weekend, it felt like all I did was EAT. I absolutely gorged myself with so much food, that I am still probably not fully digested.

I also worked. I am so tired. I can't wait until school starts so I can have a break!!! Yeah right. As if training five days a week (at least) is a break...mind you, I'm training nine times a week right now. Don't ask how I still wake up in the morning...I don't know!!

I was pretty moved by Ashley Banfield's update...I guess because I am going through the same thing...its nuts really. Sometimes I still can't believe that I am actually going to Harvard. I mean, yes, it has ALWAYS been a dream of mine, and since I was 10 years old, I would always tell people that I would go to Harvard one day, but all of this was not with any real conviction that something like that would ever happen to me. Even right now, I don't think I fully believe waht is taking place. But still...in 24 days, I will be leaving for Harvard. Just thinking about it makes me cry. And the funny thing is, I still don't know if they're happy tears or sad ones. I am just so overcome by emotion at the thought of what will materialize in the next four years.
Well, I've bored you enough.
You see...a long long time ago, when I was at the tender age of 13 years old, I played on the Toronto Lady Marlies Hockey team, with 15 and 16 year olds. I was the youngest player on the team and the smallest. I was like 4 feet or something ridiculous. Anywhoo...our jerseys were blue, and since I was so small and in blue, one of the fathers, Mr. Allen Piper, started calling me Smurf. In fact, Ashley Banfield was on the team too, and together we made up the "Smurf" Line...well, that name stuck and I liked it, and I liked the smurfs, so "Smurf" has sort of been my nickname since. I just put the 'Stinky' in front because I thought it was funny...
Thats all I seem to do!! I had 4 days off work in the month of July! FOUR! And August doesn't look to promising. Even for the long weekend, I am working Saturday and Monday...ah well,I like my jobs, and at least I'm making money, so I guess it can't be all that bad...but sleep would be nice the odd time. :)
In a completely unrelated topic, the Rock came back to Wrestling this week, and I still get goosebumps whenever I see him!! He calls himself 'The Most ELECTRIFYING Man in Sports Entertainment', and to be quite honest, I could not agree more! Wrestling is getting good these days...Vince McMahon, the owner of the WWF bought out WCW, and hired the owner of ECW to work for him, so basiclly, he has a monopoly over the entire wrestling industry! Now, they are having an 'Invasion' with WCW/ECW vs. WWF which is so amazing. If you've never watched wrestling before, I suggest you start up now.
Anywhoo...gotta go!! But I put a picture of the ROCK, so you might feel his ELECTRICITY too!!
